Anagenesis attends Energy Star Battery Charger Test Specification Workshop
February 1, 2006 - Los Angeles - Anagenesis was a participant in  the workshop sponsored by Energy Star.  The workshop purpose was to complete the final draft of the test procedure for establishing the performance level of external battery chargers.  Arnold Alderman, Board Chairperson for PSMA, provided opening remarks.  Mr. Alderman emphasized that "as stated in the letter of position adopted by PSMA in January 2005, it is important that further improvement in power supply efficiency be further nurtured.  That includes external battery chargers. Efficiency should be on a path of continuous improvement.  Finally, to simplify and reduce the cost of the certification process PSMA encourages the adoption of a single world wide standard."  The workshop was well attended by key stakeholders of the industry including battery charger manufacturers, semiconductor manufacturers, efficiency consultants, and users.
